Dame Judith Amaechi, the amiable wife of the honourable Minister of Transportation, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, played host to some party faithfuls and ardent supporters of the leader of Rivers state APC who visited her in her Port Harcourt residence yesterday 5th/01/2020.
The meet and greet with her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi, as initiated by the former Deputy Mayor of PHALGA, Hon Nancy Stephens-Ijaopo was aimed at identifying with some party faithfuls who has been contributing their own effort to hold forte in the party, and to exchange new year pleasantries.
While addressing the people present, she thanked everyone for all they’ve been doing behind the scene to support her husband in his dream of a better Rivers state. She also urged all not to relent in their belief and vigor in seeing that the party comes out stronger and better from it’s current crisis, noting that what is being witnessed in Rivers state APC is not peculiar to it alone but the nature of politics as we’ve come to see it.
She however, urged every lover of APC and supporter of Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to be strong in prayers as we shall surely overcome the forces that’s bent on keeping us down. She reiterated that Rivers state is ours to build and cherish as we don’t have any other state to call our own.
In her magnanimity and in the spirit of the season, she appreciated everyone present with festivity gifts of rice and other condiments. She also confirmed the dissolution of the previous executive body of the comprehensive Rivers state women body known as the Rivers State Women Association of Nigeria (RIVSWAN) upon the expiration of the tenure of the previous executive and urged women across the state to vie for offices, as elections into the executive offices of the body will soon commence.
Some of the people who spoke on behalf of the gathering thanked her for making out time to identify with them and for also recognising their collective efforts in the party. They conveyed their compliment to her husband and thanked her for the gifts.
