The Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State and South-South zone, Amb Ihunwo ChijiOke has hailed Chief Barr. E.N Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for the 5000 jobs, for the youths of Rivers State, into the State civil service, stating that the youths will now have a sense of inclusiveness in his administration.
Reacting to the news, the number one youth leader in the State, said, that the Governor has demonstrated and reaffirmed that he is a youth friendly Governor. Saying he have never doubted the Governor when he said, during his campaign, that the youths will be his priority in this administration.
The Chairman said, he remain thankful to God for bringing Governor Wike, at this time when the youths are yearning for such an effective leader that will give a listening ear to their needs and doing that which he said he will do.
He commend the Governor for his commitment and focus towards the affairs of Rivers State youths, while attending to the needs of other sectors. He said, rather than play politics with youth issues, or pay lip service to the plight of the Rivers State youths, he came out open to attend to issues, bordering on youths of the State.
The Youth Council Chairman, urged the youths of Rivers State to continue to embrace peace and be law abiding. Development can only come in an environment where there is peace. Peace remains the panacea for the betterment and improvement of the human society. And it is only in a peaceful atmosphere that our State can be developed. We should continue to live as one peaceful entity, in a peaceful State.
