FOR A WHILE BY GEORGEWIL REBECCA

Piercing him with infected needles
His heart drumming bitter
His emotions rising in accelerated anger
But lasting only for a while.

In his weary happiness
They come like weird devouring beast
In between mixed feelings
They hamper with his joy

Like an open-secret thief
Always wanting to make him frown
Ever willing to inflict bitterness into his soul
But like a brave Amazon

In full flesh resistance
He brings his emotions under subjection
Making him stand tall like an Iroko
Like an eagle learning to keep her peckers up
And ever emerging with her flags ‘up high’
