Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri, meets with traditional rulersin the State, urged them to shun partisan politics and focus on developmental issues in their domains.
Gov. Diri, who was speaking during a meeting of the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council in Yenagoa, charged them to always reside in their kingdoms.
“Let me implore you to free yourself from partisan politics. Always play neutrality and be a respectable and a dignified royal father. Reside in your domains to bring about security”, Gov. Diri stated.
The Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council and Amayanabo of Twon-Brass, King Alfred Diete-Spiff, had welcomed the Governor to the first meeting he is attending since assumption of office as the 5th Governor of the State.
